Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026. Tapzens is built to need as little of your data as possible — this page explains exactly what we collect, which third parties are involved, and the choices you have.
- No accounts, no sign-ups — we never ask for your name, email or payment details.
- We run Google AdSense ads, so Google does set ad cookies — always behind a consent prompt in the EEA and UK.
- You can review or withdraw that choice at any time via Manage consent.
- Favorites and recent games live only in your browser, on your device.
- Our own Google Analytics is switched off, and no third-party analytics or advertising tag loads from a hosted game package — every build is scanned, and section 6 records what that scan found.

1. Introduction
Tapzens ("we", "us") operates tapzens.com, a free portal of browser games. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, where it lives, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, email us and we will happily explain.
2. What we never collect
- We do not require registration, so we never collect names, emails, passwords or payment details.
- We do not buy or sell personal information, and we do not share your game progress with anyone.
- We do not run our own cross-site tracking or browser fingerprinting.
3. What stays on your device
Features like Favorites, Continue Playing and interface preferences are stored in your browser's local storage. That data never leaves your device: we cannot read it, and it is not transmitted to our servers. Your ad-consent choice is stored the same way.
4. Local storage & cookies
We use two kinds of storage, and we are explicit about which is which:
- Functional (ours). Local storage for favorites, recently played games and your consent choice. No personal information, nothing transmitted.
- Advertising (Google's). Because this site is supported by Google AdSense, Google sets its own cookies to serve, measure and personalise ads. We do not read or control those cookies; they exist only where permitted by your consent.
Every cookie is inspectable and removable from your browser settings, and clearing site data removes ours completely.
5. Advertising & your consent
Tapzens is free because of advertising. We use the Google certified consent management platform (Google's own CMP) to collect and honour ad-privacy consent.
- EEA and UK visitors: no personalised advertising cookies are used before you make a choice. The consent message appears first, and your decision decides whether ads are personalised, non-personalised, or unmeasured.
- Everyone, everywhere: you can change your mind later. Use Manage consent in the footer, or open any page with
?showconsent=1appended to the address. - Declining consent does not remove the games or the account-free experience; at most the ads you see become less relevant.
- This commitment covers every tag that loads on our pages: the build scan found no third-party analytics or advertising request that gets past it. What still sits dormant inside some game bundles is disclosed in row 4 of section 6.
We keep a copy of your decision in local storage so that we do not have to ask you again on every visit, and so that our own tags start up in the correct state. Clearing site data resets the question.
6. Third parties & data disclosure
These are the only third-party services allowed to run on our ad-bearing pages. This table is the complete list — if a service is not in it, it does not load.
| Service | Purpose | Data involved | Consent required | Provider policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdSense (auto ads) | Serve, measure and personalise advertising | Cookies, IP address, ad interactions, device and browser signals | Yes — EEA/UK | Google ads privacy |
| Google certified CMP (Privacy & messaging) | Collect and store your ad-privacy consent, incl. IAB TCF v2 signal | Consent record, approximate region for regulatory routing | It asks the question | Ad Center |
| Google Analytics 4 (ours) | Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics | Page views, device type, approximate region | Yes — when enabled | Google privacy |
| Ad-SDK identifiers inside game packages | Nothing runs. These are ad-unit constants the original developers baked into their builds | None — no request is made from a browser | n/a — cannot execute on the web | Report a concern |
Current state, stated plainly: our own Google Analytics is switched off, so row 3 is inactive. Row 4 is not a service that runs — it is dead code. Some games we host shipped with their author's ad-SDK constants still inside the bundle, and our build process scans every delivered code file on each release and reports that no third-party analytics or advertising tag loads in your browser from a hosted game package. Those identifiers only fire through a native app's ad bridge, which a browser tab never has. We still publish the row rather than quietly drop it, because those same identifiers would go live the day this catalogue is wrapped in a native app — and because the disclosure should describe what is in the files, not just what is in the network log. The format follows app-store data-safety declarations, so it stays useful if we ever do wrap the site.
7. Analytics
No analytics is enabled at site level by us. If we enable it later, it will run only within your consent choice, will produce anonymous and aggregated numbers (page views, approximate region, device type) rather than anything identifying you, and this page will be updated first. As for the games themselves: row 4 of section 6 covers the ad-SDK identifiers left inside some of them, and the build scan on every release confirms they send nothing from a browser — so there is no analytics traffic on this site that you have not either consented to or been told about.
8. How we use information
- Aggregated analytics help us decide which games to add and which features to improve.
- Technical logs (such as error reports) are used only to keep the site running and secure.
- Advertising data is used by Google to keep the site free; we do not receive or resell it.
9. Third-party links & content
Some pages link to external sites (for example, app store listings). Once you leave tapzens.com, the privacy practices of those sites apply. We encourage you to read their policies.
10. Audience & children's privacy
Tapzens is a general-audience site designed for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, we do not target advertising at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Because we rely on advertising, some content on the site may be personalised based on browsing signals; that is why we describe our audience honestly rather than claiming to be a children's site. Parents who believe their child's information has reached us through an ad provider can ask us to help, and can use Manage consent on this device to turn personalisation off.
11. Data security
The site is served over HTTPS, and because we hold essentially no personal data, there is essentially no personal data to breach. Game progress and favorites exist only in your own browser.
12. Retention & your control
Local data stays until you clear it — clearing your browser's site data removes it completely, including your saved consent choice. Aggregated analytics contain no personal identifiers and are retained only as long as they are useful.
13. Your privacy rights (GDPR / CCPA)
We do not hold personal information about you, so there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Advertising data is held by Google under its own process: you can review and withdraw consent with Manage consent, and you can exercise rights over Google-processed data via Google's Ad Center. If you believe we hold any information relating to you, or if you wish to exercise any right under the GDPR or CCPA, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
14. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy we will post the new version on this page with a fresh "last updated" date. Material changes — in particular any new third-party service — will be highlighted on the site and reflected in the table in section 6.
15. Contact
We read every message and usually reply within one business day.
